Collection: Smoke Lens Safety Glasses

Smoke Lens Safety Glasses for Bright Conditions

Smoke lens safety glasses are a versatile choice for working outdoors and in other bright environments. Edge smoke lenses allow 16% of visible light to pass through, providing what we consider the perfect all-around tint for bright conditions. The dark tint helps shade your eyes and reduce brightness while maintaining the impact protection you expect from Edge safety eyewear.

Think of “smoke” as the color or tint of the lens rather than a specific lens technology. This collection brings together our smoke lens options in one place, including standard smoke safety glasses, polarized smoke lenses and select smoke lenses featuring Vapor Shield™ anti-fog technology.

Standard Smoke Safety Glasses

Sometimes simple is exactly what you need. Our standard smoke lenses provide comfortable shading for bright conditions without the additional cost of specialized lens technologies. They're a great budget-friendly option for outdoor work, yardwork, jobsites and everyday activities where you want dark-tinted eye protection.

With 16% light transmission, smoke provides a versatile tint for sunny and bright environments without changing the appearance of your surroundings as dramatically as some specialty lens colors.

Polarized Smoke Safety Glasses

Want the familiar appearance of a smoke lens with additional glare reduction? Choose a polarized smoke lens.

Edge helped pioneer polarized safety eyewear as the first brand to bring polarized lenses to safety glasses. Polarization helps reduce reflected glare from surfaces such as water, pavement, vehicles and other reflective environments, making polarized smoke safety glasses especially useful for outdoor work and recreation.

The important distinction is that smoke and polarized don't mean the same thing. A smoke lens reduces the overall amount of light reaching your eyes, while polarization is designed to reduce reflected glare. Some Edge smoke lenses are polarized; others are not.

Smoke Safety Glasses with Vapor Shield™ Anti-Fog

Select smoke lens safety glasses are also available with Edge Vapor Shield™ anti-fog technology.

Unlike temporary anti-fog sprays and wipes, Vapor Shield is incorporated into the lens during manufacturing. It won't wear off or wipe away, providing long-lasting fog resistance for changing temperatures, humidity and demanding work environments.

Choosing Vapor Shield doesn't mean giving up the smoke tint you prefer. It simply adds anti-fog performance to select smoke lens configurations.

Find the Right Smoke Lens for You

Whether you're looking for straightforward dark-tinted safety glasses, polarized lenses for enhanced glare reduction or Vapor Shield anti-fog performance, this collection is the place to start if smoke is the lens color you want.

Start with your environment and budget. Standard smoke lenses provide an affordable, versatile option for bright conditions. Step up to polarized smoke lenses when reflected glare is a concern, or look for Vapor Shield when fogging is part of the job.
