Collection: FLEXIBLE FRAMES

Why Choose Flexible Safety Glasses?

Safety glasses should protect your eyes without creating unnecessary pressure around your head and temples. Flexible safety glasses are designed to provide a more adaptable fit, making them a good option for workers who find traditional rigid frames too tight or uncomfortable.

Edge-Flex™ temples use flexible thermoplastic rubber (TPR) details that allow the temples to flex outward and accommodate a wider range of head sizes and facial shapes. The result is a more custom-like fit with less pinching and added grip to help keep your eyewear securely in place.

What Are the Benefits of Flexible Safety Glasses?

The biggest benefit of a flexible frame is adaptability.

Rather than relying on a completely rigid temple design, Edge-Flex-equipped safety glasses can flex outward to better match the shape and width of the wearer’s head. That added flexibility can help reduce pressure at the temples while improving comfort throughout the workday.

Edge-Flex also uses TPR details along the temples to provide additional grip. This helps limit slipping as you move, bend or work in demanding environments.

For workers who wear safety glasses for hours at a time, small improvements in fit and comfort can make a noticeable difference.

Flexible Doesn’t Mean Fragile

A flexible frame shouldn’t mean giving up protection.

Edge-Flex-equipped safety glasses are tested to the same applicable ANSI safety standards as our other safety-rated eyewear. The flexibility is designed into the temple system to improve fit and comfort — not to reduce the strength or protective performance of the eyewear.

That means you can get a more adaptable fit while still wearing safety glasses designed for the demands of the job.

How Does Edge-Flex Work?

Edge-Flex uses flexible thermoplastic rubber, or TPR, within the temples of select Edge frame styles.

The flexible temple design allows the glasses to move outward and accommodate different head widths and shapes, while the rubberized material adds grip to help reduce slipping.

The technology is designed to provide three primary benefits:

• A more adaptable, custom-like fit
• Reduced pinching and pressure at the temples
• Added grip to help keep eyewear in place

Edge-Flex is available across several Edge frame families, giving workers multiple lens, frame and fit options while maintaining the same core flexible-temple technology.

Comfort That Helps Keep Safety Glasses On

Comfort matters when safety eyewear is worn all day.

A frame that pinches, slips or feels overly tight can become distracting over time. By allowing the temples to flex and better match the wearer’s head shape, Edge-Flex helps create a more comfortable fit without sacrificing the security needed for active work.

One Edge customer described the area over the ears as especially comfortable, noting the unusual flexibility built into the frame. While Edge-Flex isn’t a suspension system, that added movement is exactly what allows the temples to adapt to different head sizes and shapes.
