FAQs

What is Vapor Shield?
Vapor Shield is the name of our anti-fog technology. It resists fogging in hot, cold and humid conditions, and outlasts other anti-fog coatings.

Are These Safety Rated?
Yes. The Defiance is rated to ANSI's Z87.1+ protective standards. We verify compliance with ANSI's requirements in an independent lab.

What are AP+ Lenses?
AP+ (Aqua Precision Plus) builds on the legacy of our long-standing Aqua Precision lens technology with a fresh take on color rendition. While both lens technologies improve visual clarity, we’ve fine-tuned the performance of AP+ to deliver a unique viewing experience. AP+ lenses amplify red, orange and green hues, while remaining true to the clarity-improving foundation of our standard Aqua Precision lens technology.

Features + Technology

Polarized Lenses

Polarized lenses reduce excess glare, especially when driving or working around bright, reflective surfaces. This style comes standard with polarized lenses for ultimate glare-free performance in a stylish, ANSI Z87+-rated frame. Feel the Edge difference.

Anti-Slip Nose Pads

Thermoplastic rubber (TPR) nose pads provide anti-slip performance, unrivaled comfort and a secure fit. Plus, TPR becomes tacky when exposed to moisture, so there’s no more worrying about losing your glasses when things get sweaty.

Lightweight Frame

A durable frame constructed from a nylon composite combines lightweight performance with the signature impact resistance Edge is known for. You’ve never had a pair of ANSI Z87+ rated safety glasses that felt so good to wear during your demanding days.
