Why the Renshaw Is Anything but Basic

Why the Renshaw Is Anything but Basic

The Edge Renshaw is one of our two new frame styles designed specifically for women on the go. Timeless styling, a durable construction and polarized lenses ensure the Renshaw is a worthy travel companion for wherever your adventures take you.

Does it sound like the Renshaw is a run-of-the-mill pair of women’s sunglasses? Here are three reasons we think the Renshaw is anything but basic.

 1. It was Designed by Edge

The Renshaw was designed, tested and refined by our in-house product development team. Believe it or not, some glasses on the market aren’t necessarily designed by the brands selling them. Some of these other women’s sunglasses are simply ordered out of a manufacturer’s catalog. A logo is slapped on it, and off they go for sale on the brand’s website. Have you ever noticed why a lot of women’s sunglasses on the market look the same? It’s because many of them are the same.

The Renshaw started as a sketch on our product development team’s notepad. It was drafted to millimetric precision. And then we worked with our partners to refine the design for manufacturing perfection. Having input into every part of the product development process allows us to deliver sunglasses with equal parts style and function. Everything of these women’s square sunglasses was designed from the start to offer comfort, style and performance.

 2. It’s Not Cheap

The Renshaw is not that type of cheap. Not the type of cheap that will have you reaching for a new pair of square women’s sunglasses anytime soon. Here’s the thing: Edge’s history is in making industry-leading safety glasses and tactical eyewear. Since 1998, our vision has been protecting yours. And our new outdoor collection (including the Renshaw) carries on our legacy of creating durable eyewear built for more.

The Renshaw’s frame is constructed from a durable nylon composite that you could run over with your truck without breaking (although we don’t necessarily recommend it). And the Renshaw’s oversized polarized lenses are made from shatter-resistant polycarbonate. In fact, all of Edge’s outdoor eyewear is made out of the same high impact and durable materials as our safety glasses. The Renshaw square women’s sunglasses are no exception.

 3. It’s Not Basic

Maybe that’s too on the nose? But just look at the design of the Renshaw! With intricate frame details, thoughtful temple tips and subtle lines, the Renshaw is clearly not the typical pair of basic women’s sunglasses.

While the Renshaw looks good on virtually anyone, this pair of women’s oversized square sunglasses is especially suited for square, rectangular or heart-shaped faces. And the subtle frame details exaggerate the retro-inspired, feminine silhouette of the Renshaw.

If you’re looking for a pair of oversized women’s sunglasses made for more durability, style, comfort and performance, take a look at the Edge Renshaw. And if you like the idea of a pair of women’s sunglasses made for more, but are looking for a rounder style, shop the Edge Harding—made of the same high impact and durable materials as the Renshaw, but with a more rounded profile.
