Impact Rated
All of our lenses are made of shatter-resistant polycarbonate. This material is lightweight, blocks 99.9% of UV radiation and defends against projectiles or blunt forces with its natural strength. Our lenses are always designed with the strict safety standards of ANSI, or the stringent MCEPS military requirements, in mind to bring you total peace of mind.

Polarized
Polarized lenses block glare from reflective surfaces like water, snow, concrete and glass. Plus, they help to improve definition in bright conditions. If you spend a lot of time working or playing outdoors, polarized lenses are a worthy upgrade. Edge created the world’s first safety-rated polarized lenses in 1998.

Mirrored
Mirrored lenses employ anti-reflective ions to block harsh rays. These types of lenses solve a long-fought sunglass challenge: How to block harsh sunlight while retaining clear definition? Mirrored lenses offer unsurpassed visual clarity in bright conditions. They’re a good choice if you spend time in bright outdoor conditions.

Vapor Shield Anti-Fog
We developed a permanent anti-fog technology in 1993 and named it Vapor Shield. Unlike other temporary fog proof coatings on the market, it’s infused into the lenses during the manufacturing process. The result is a permanent solution for stopping the buildup of fog-causing water vapor on the surface of the lenses.

Photochromic
If you work in environments with continually-changing light, glasses with photochromic lenses may be your new best friend. Our photochromic lenses transition from 22% light transmittance when in bright, outdoor conditions to 87% when in dark environments. Whether on the weekday or the weekend, our photochromic-equipped sunglasses work double time.

G-15
What is a G-15 lens? The “G” indicates a green tint. The “15” denotes the amount of visible light transmittance allowed through the lens. So, a G-15 lens is a green-tinted lens that blocks 85% of light. While G-15 was originally developed for pilots during World War II, the high contrast range of view they deliver, especially against the backdrop of a blue sky, performs from the shooting range to the sunny jobsite.

Tiger’s Eye
Our Tiger’s Eye lenses filter out low levels of blue light, reducing eye strain. This amber-colored lens used on our lineup of tactical eyewear increases depth perception, contrast and color definition. It was developed in-house for operators who require clear vision and corrected optics in the most harsh light conditions.

Interchangeable Lenses
You know what’s great? Being able to change lenses to accommodate different lighting conditions or to give your glasses a refresh. Our interchangeable kits come with anti-fog clear lenses, as well as a variety of sun-shading options, depending on the package. Either way, you’ll be ready for any conditions with our interchangeable-compatible frames.

Unbreakable Construction
We build all of our frames with a nylon composite that’s as pliable as it is durable. Under normal use, and even most of those “oops” moments, our frames are simply indestructible. And it’s the durable construction of our frames that contributes to our glasses’ trademark impact resistance to keep your sight safe when the unexpected happens.

Thin Temples
Our thin temples integrate comfortably with helmets, hats or hearing protection. By reducing unnecessary bulk in the cross section of the temple, we’ve created a more comfortable pair of eyewear. Eye protection shouldn’t be a burden. And with our thin temple technology, it isn’t.

ANTI-slip tpr
Thermoplastic rubber (TPR), or MEGOL, is a composite that becomes tacky when exposed to moisture. We strategically place MEGOL details in our frames so they don’t slip around when you’re hard at work. You’ll find these details on the nose pieces or temple tips of our frames.

XL Fit
If you require more room between the temple pieces, our XL fit frames may be just the solution. These provide a roomier fit for larger head shapes. And they come with all the same frame technologies as their smaller-width counterparts.
