Celebrating Construction Safety Week

Celebrating Construction Safety Week

From May 5 through 9, 2025, teams nationwide should pause and reflect on their commitment to living and working safely. Construction Safety Week presents a unique opportunity to spend time to refocus, reset and remember why safety matters.

This year’s Construction Safety Week theme is “All in Together.” And it’s a theme that hits home. After all, safety isn’t an individual effort; it takes the combined efforts of the whole team. Everyone on the team matters, and everyone has a role to play in keeping a safe jobsite.

As a brand that takes pride in designing safety eyewear for the toughest jobs out there, we take Construction Safety Week seriously. Not just because it’s about PPE, but because it’s about people—the ones showing up, suiting up and getting the job done. It’s the blue-collar worker that keeps the world around us running strong and we take pride in our ability to help protect these American heroes.

Construction Safety Week Schedule

Construction Safety Week 2025 is built around five main ideas—one each day. And each is a reminder to slow down and look at the way we work, plan and protect.

Monday: Plan with Precision

Before the job starts, smart teams are already thinking about what could go wrong and how to keep it from happening. A little planning can save a lot of pain.

Tuesday: Identifying High-Energy Hazards

From live wires to moving machinery, Tuesday is about taking a close look at the hidden dangers that can cause serious injury.

Wednesday: Own Your Part

Safety doesn’t just belong to the “safety guy” or your jobsite safety manager. It’s everyone’s responsibility. Speak up, step in or just set a good example—it can make the difference between someone going to the hospital or going home at the end of the day.

Thursday: Engage and Empower

When workers can speak up without being ignored or shut down, the whole jobsite gets safer. And it all starts with managers and leaders who listen. This is the foundation on which teams that can trust one another are built.

Friday: Commit to Excellence

Finishing Construction Safety Week strong means committing to safety for the long haul. It’s not just something teams should focus on once a year during Construction Safety Week, but a dedication we should all strive to keep every day.

Construction Safety Week Stand-Down: A Powerful Pause

On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, teams around the country will take a moment to pause to prevent falls. Events around the country are planned with vendors and experts who will provide tips and resources for fall prevention. After all, slips, trips and falls account for the majority of serious jobsite accidents.

This stand-down event is a time to reflect, but it’s also a time to say thank you to the people who step into high-risk environments with focus, skill and a commitment to doing it safely.

Why Do We Care?

We’ve always believed that protective eyewear shouldn’t be an afterthought. It should be as reliable and tough as the people wearing it. Whether it’s ANSI-rated safety glasses that hold up against high-impact risks, safety sunglasses that cut glare on outdoor jobs or work sunglasses that don’t fog up mid-task, we design them for one reason: to defend your vision.

And we’re proud to stand with every American hero in the field. To the workers, foreman, safety managers and crew members who commit to safety, we see you, and we support you.

Construction Safety Week is a reminder that no worker can do this alone. Safety takes a commitment from everyone looking out for each other, owning their roles and choosing to work safely—even when it’s not easy or convenient.

We’re honored to be part of the safety solution to help those who build, repair, weld, grind, haul and make America move.

Here’s to a safer, smarter, stronger future together . . .
